Welcome to the Masonic Internet Portal of
St Patrick’s Lodge no 295 of the Irish Constitution.
Whether you are a Freemason or not I hope that you enjoy the
information that is contained on our site, courtesy of our
very own Web Master, Ian Varty.
St Patrick’s Lodge is without doubt a unique lodge as
it is the oldest Military Travelling lodge in the World and
the only one left within the British Isles/Ireland. The lodge
was first warranted in 1758 and belongs to the Royal Dragoon
Guards, wherever this regiment travels so does the Warrant
of the lodge and the authority required under the Grand Lodge
of Ireland to hold meetings. St Patrick’s is also unusual
in that it does not come under a district or provincial lodge,
but comes directly under the Grand Lodge of Ireland itself.
2008 will be a very significant year for St Patrick’s
lodge as we will be celebrating its 250th anniversary, the
details of which will appear on this site as and when they
are known.
Once you have read through our site and acquainted yourself
with the information contained therein, please take the opportunity
of visiting our Guest Book and leave us a message. Alternatively
if you are a Freemason and would like to know when and where
our meetings are this year then contact us through the enquiry
form at the top of the page (‘Contact’). If you
are not a Freemason but would like to enquire with us about
Freemasonry, then we would be only too pleased to try and
answer your questions.
Thank you for visiting our site
